Oluwaniyi, Nwafor make Super Eagles Team B Posted on Friday, Feb 12th 2010
Shooting Stars goalkeeper Segun Oluwaniyi and striker Uche Nwafor have been included in NFF’s 34 man list of Super Eagles Team B players that will confront Niger Republic in an African Nations Championship qualifier next month.
According to a release from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday, the two 3SC stars are among the 34 players expected to represent Nigeria in the two-legged qualifier.
Super Eagles Team B confronts the Mena of Niger Republic in Niamey on March 14, with the return leg coming up in Nigeria a fortnight later.
The second edition of the African Nations Championship finals, which is mainly for footballers playing in their country’s domestic league, holds in Sudan next year.
DR Congo emerged winners when Cote d’Ivoire hosted the inaugural edition in 2009.
