Kaduna United shoot down 3SC     Posted on Sunday, Mar 28th 2010

Shooting Stars lost their 10th game on the road following last Sunday’s 3-0 defeat by Kaduna United in a Week 26 Globacom Premier League tie decided at the Kaduna Township Stadium.

After Timothy Ndubuisi had shot Kaduna into an early lead, the visitors dominated proceedings for the whole of the opening half, but frittered the numerous chances that came their way.

Kaduna United’s victory was somewhat tainted by questionable officiating by centre referee Sulley Mohammed from Bauchi who disallowed a legitimate equalizing goal by 3SC’s Shaibu Karimu in the 76th minute.

The referee also allowed Kaduna’s dubious second goal to stand after a foul had been committed on 3SC goalkeeper Laide Okanlawon.

Similarly, the ref ignored two penalty appeals by the visitors, which, if given could have changed the tide of the game.

Towards the end of the keenly-contested match, Jude Aneke doubled Kaduna United’s lead, and shortly afterwards Siman Yusuf added another goal to triple the score-line.

Kaduna United were beaten 3-1 by 3SC when both sides clashed in the first round at the Liberty Stadium last November.

3SC have another chance to boost their league standing when they play host to Lobi Stars on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
