An Interview with Chibuzor and Osuata        Posted on Thursday, Feb.26th 2009

The story of 3SC’s new signings, Madu Chibuzor and Daniel Osuata is like the proverbial Prophet who finds honour outside his domain. Both players were never reckoned with during their days with the 3SC Feeder Team, but after showing off their talents outside where they were more appreciated, the duo are back where they rightly belong. In this exclusive interview with 3SC Media Officer Jubril Arowolo, both players reveal their inner thoughts…

How do you guys feel to be back after few years away?
MADU: It back to base.  I was born, raised and schooled in Apata Ibadan.  So I’m happy.  I’m a freeman, no more pressure as you know people are there for you when you play.
DANIEL: I feel great, I have expected this chance to come and here I’m in one of the big club sides in the world.  It’s a dream come true. I’m happy.

Why did you have to leave in the first instance?
MADU: I had to leave for El-kanemi Warriors when we were not reckoned with here. Many times they moved us to the main team and many times the dropped us so we had to go for greater challenges to prove our worth.  In fact, it was a good experience at Elkanemi in the 2006/2007 season, then at Kwara United in 2007 and 2008.  I love Elkanemi because they were friendly.  They welcomed us, and if not for the distance and the love for my coach who believed in me...

Who was that?
MADU: Kafaru Alabi, he was my mentor.  He took me to Elkanemi and later to Kwara United.  He made me believe in myself and I wept when he died.  I lost a good coach in him.
DANIEL: I moved at the time I did because I was warmly welcomed at Crown Football Club.  We were treated with disdain as 3SC feeder team players, no money, nothing, so when the opportunity came I grabbed it.  In fact some of my colleagues who moved before me had to fill my form and I played a game a day after my arrival.

Any regret?
No regret because I have been upward trend. From 3SC feeders to crown FC and findly to sunshine stars a premiership side.

Why did you leave Sunshine Stars for 3SC in the pro rank?
It is good.  It is the Lord’s doing. And apart from that I have to leave to avoid some people in the club who think they are God.  I don’t want to mention names but as a very disciplined player I take steps when it’s time to do the right thing at the right time. So 3SC is where I am now.

Compare your first time in the club then and now?
MADU: I have to say this again, my first experience in 3SC was not palatable. We were not even officially recognized, we just played and nothing more.  But now the situation has changed.  I was invited and what I met and how I was received marveled me. I met on ground good players, good coaches and good management and I need to work hard to make the team because for the team to be in third position on the table, it is a good omen.
