Adepoju: We are still searching Posted on Monday, Jan 4th 2010
As the clock ticks towards the resumption of the Glo Premier League in a week’s time, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan are yet to secure the services of a coach.
Inside sources disclosed to www.shootingstarssc.com that several top names have been linked to the vacant job but General Manager Mutiu Adepoju says management of the former African champions are still busy scrutinizing possible candidates.
“For now I cannot reveal the names of coaches we are considering, and I cannot give a specific time frame for the appointment of a new coach for the team,” Adepoju stated.
“At the moment we are very busy putting a lot of things in place, and hiring a coach is just one of the issues at stake for us.
“But I assure you we are doing everything possible in that direction, and soon we are going to make an announcement in that regard,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mutiu Adepoju has taken charge of the team’s coaching duties in an interim capacity pending the appointment of a substantive coach to replace Phillip Boamah, who was sacked last Tuesday.
