Adepoju upbeat on Kwara showdown...blames hard-luck for Rangers result Posted on Tuesday, Dec.8th 2009
Shooting Stars boss Mutiu Adepoju says the club would strive hard to make its impact felt in the 9-week old Glo Premier League.
With only nine points garnered from nine matches so far, the Oluyole Warriors are just two places above the drop zone, a situation the former Nigeria international admits calls for drastic measures.
“The premier league is not for small fries. We realize this and we are working extra hard to make sure we survive. We play Kwara United this week, and we anticipate a very tough fixture, but we are going to fight and get something out of the game,” he promised.
He blamed last weekend’s goalless draw against Enugu Rangers on hard-luck, maintaining that the technical bench has corrected all lapses in a bid to achieve better results in subsequent matches.
