Adepoju opts for total victory against Kaduna...eye op rules Idogbe out        Posted on Tuesday,Nov. 17th 2009

Shooting Stars General Manager, Mutiu Adepoju says the club has put everything in place to ensure total victory against Kaduna United on Wednesday in Ibadan.

Shooting Stars are currently placed 16th on the premiership log after securing just one victory in five games, a situation the 3SC management has promised to reverse.

“We have noted all our errors after playing five matches, and I believe we have found a solution. We need to start scoring goals and concede less,” Adepoju said.

He blamed most of the goals scored against 3SC this season on the inability of the team’s defence to deal effectively with set pieces, stating that the coaches have really worked on this area to prevent a recurrence.

Adepoju further disclosed that barring any late injury concerns, the Oluyole Warriors’ squad is battle-ready to beat Kaduna United and bag the maximum points at stake.

This, according to him, will prepare the team well ahead of this weekend’s road trip to Makurdi for a date with Lobi Stars.

Meanwhile top striker Timothy Idogbe is still recuperating after undergoing eye surgery at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

According to the club’s Media Officer Jubril arowolo, the 3SC forward was attacked by a Gateway FC player when both sides played a friendly match a week to the start of the premiership.
