Adepoju hints at technical reshuffle                    Posted on Wednesday, July 29th 2009

Shooting Stars General Manager and Technical Director Mutiu Adepoju has hinted at an imminent major change in the Technical Department of the team as 3SC begin their preparations ahead of the Nigeria Premier League season.

“I can confirm to you that there are plans to reorganize the technical department, but we are still working on it, and very soon we shall come up with an announcement,” he revealed.

In the wake of rumours making the rounds, it is being widely speculated that Chief Coach Franklin Howard may be given the boot in the new dispensation.

It would be recalled that the junior ex-international defender, who worked with Adepoju to steer 3SC back to the premiership in the closing season, was a victim of violent fan reaction following drawn games at home to Bendel Insurance and Prime FC.

As a result Howard became largely unpopular with a vast majority of the club’s vociferous supporters for a better part of the season and has been severally recommended for a sack.
