Adepoju debunks Duke Udi rumour        Posted on Tuesday, Sep. 8th 2009

Shooting Stars General Manager and Technical Director, Mutiu Adepoju has told shootingstarssc.com that there’s no truth in rumours making the round that two former players of 3SC – Duke Udi and Tony Alegbe have rejoined the team.

“I don’t know the source of this rumours but let me assure you that we haven’t signed these players and we have no plans to do so,” he stated.

“These are mere distractions, and that is the least we need at this time when our preparations have reached an advanced stage. Very soon we shall be announcing our new intakes, but Duke Udi and Tony Alegbe are definitely not in our plans. Thank you,” he affirmed.

Official word from the camp of the Oluyole Warriors is still being expected on the acquisition of Heartland FC striker Kabiru Alausa, Nasarawa United wing back Sylvanus Ebiale and Sunshine Stars winger Nofiu Taiwo. These are some of the new names on the lips of Shooting Stars fans as the club gets set to storm the Nigeria Premier League.
