Adepoju confirms Shooting Stars, Kwara United friendly Posted on Thursday, Aug 27th 2009

The much-touted friendly game between two of the newly promoted Glo Premier League sides, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan and Kwara United will now hold in Ilorin this weekend.

Confirming this latest development to shootingstarssc.com on Wednesday, 3SC General Manager and Technical Director Mutiu Adepoju said the game was one of the high-profile matches arranged to keep the team in top shape for the Globacom Premier League race kicking off on September 19.

Adepoju also disclosed that the friendly match against Gateway FC of Abeokuta has been called off due to the non-response of the organizers.  

Shooting Stars start off their Premier League campaign with a fixture away to CAF Champions League contenders Kano Pillars in Kano.
