3SC set to consume Bussdor Posted Thursday, Dec.11th 2008
Shooting Stars Sports Club expect nothing but the maximum points when they entertain visiting Bussdor United FC of Port Harcourt in a National First Division match billed for Ibadan on Saturday. The Week Eight encounter kicks off at 16H00 at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
Both teams are level on the same number of points after six games each, but Bussdor, who are playing their home matches in Owerri this season, are a step ahead with a superior goal difference.
However, the Oluyole Warriors under the tutelage of technical head Mutiu Adepoju are fired up to consolidate on their good league form so far, with dashing striker Timothy Idogbe poised to add to his tally of six goals in as many matches.
3SC’s Media Officer Jubril Arowolo confirmed that there are no injury concerns for the Ibadan-based side as all the key players are fit and ready for Saturday’s crucial encounter.
“I can confirm to you that all the players are injury-free ahead of the match.
“They all know the importance of this game and surely we have no option than to win in order to stay in the race for promotion,” he said.
Shooting Stars’ next game is away to Gabros International of Nnewi next Wednesday. The match is a rescheduled Week Seven fixture.
